WHAT TREVOR'S CLIENT'S SAY

"At the suggestion of my boss, I embarked somewhat tentatively on a programme of coaching, with the aim of progressing to a senior level within my career.... Do I feel more focused and confident in my career? Yes. But perhaps more importantly, an unexpected outcome of the programme is that I have achieved more balance within my life as a whole... As the programme progressed, I began increasingly to look forward to and value my sessions with Trevor. His calm and positive approach, and open and relaxed style, meant that our time was always both enjoyable and productive. I would thoroughly recommend Trevor to anyone who feels they have come to a crossroads - he has a real talent for bringing out the hidden strengths you never knew you had!"

Sarah, Deputy Director, Brighton

“When I did my coaching with you I learned a new ‘personal’ language which will stay with me for life, and has helped me immensely in moving forward with my relationships with people and work, so job well done; you really did help to change my life fundamentally for the better. Thank you.”

Crispin, London

"When I began career coaching with Trevor I knew I wanted to be doing a different job, but I had no idea that a year later I would be beginning a completely new career, with the certain knowledge that it is both what I am perfectly equipped for and really want to do."

Emma, Copywriter, Brighton

"Just a quick email to thank you again for the session today. Some really good feedback from everyone I have spoken to...a real sense also that
everyone felt the session was about us, got everyone contributing...and was well facilitated.

Those who had used the model before (Myers Briggs Type Indicator) when training, said they really got more out of using the 4 indicators you chose as an approach to team working/ understanding others.

The energy in the room I think said it all for me...it really got us together as a team and some really good feedback that it met the intention of seeing/thinking about people in a different way and how we interact."

Karen Creffield, Head of Sport, University of Sussex, Brighton

TREVOR'S STORY

I spent 13 years in corporate life before becoming a coach and facilitator. The majority of my corporate working life was spent as an Account Director in London-based direct marketing agencies. In my agency life I worked with large charity clients, specialising in fundraising and communications. Clients included The Lifeboarts (RNLI), British Red Cross, RSPB,The Art Fund, Greenpeace and the Open University.

Without realising it, I was using coaching and development skills with my direct team, cross-agency teams and with clients. My team focus and supportive leadership style enabled my team to deliver complex multi-million pound campaigns to strict timescales and budgets and to win a number of awards.

After moving to Brighton and Hove in 2000, I commuted to London for a year before landing a job in Brighton. Late in 2002 I left corporate life to become self-employed as a coach and facilitator. I now work one-to-one with clients in the areas of career and personal coaching and also design, lead and facilitate workshops, courses and team development events for corporates, non-profits and the public sector.

I believe that life is too short to be unproductive or unhappy. If life isn’t working for me I do my best to change it for the positive. It is this attitude that I bring to my coaching. My focus is on supporting individuals and teams to be positive, productive and sustainable through:
  • really valuing and understanding themselves
  • identifying and building on their strengths
  • taking action to create the situations and conditions they want in their life and/or career.
Clients report that my particular gifts are:
  • Helping people see possibilities for themselves that they hadn’t seen before
  • Seeing the gems in my clients’ lives – their unique gifts and personal power – and encouraging clients to embrace them
  • Strong intuition and powerful insights
  • Being highly effective with both visioning and grounded, practical implementation
  • Great listening and empathy skills so that clients feel truly heard and valued.
  • Deep and solid knowledge and experience of the coaching process.

My coaching style is
  • warm, open, supportive, genuine, relaxed
  • positive, action-focused, change-oriented
  • big picture, connected, wise
  • personal, trustworthy, committed, professional
  • knowledgeable, appropriately challenging, respectful.

MY TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

I trained with both The Coaches Training Institute and The Coaching Academy. I have at least 2,000 coaching hours with paying clients under my belt.

I am accredited by the International Coach Federation as a Professional Certified Coach.

My business qualifications include:
  • MA in European Management - Cranfield University School of Management
  • Diploma in Marketing - Chartered Institute of Marketing
  • Diploma in Direct Marketing (Distinction) - Institute of Direct Marketing.
